Privacy Policy

AdoptionLedger is provided by Rhodwell LLC and is designed for local-first organization of adoption records.

Information stored

Information you enter, including adoption details, expenses, funding, notes, qualification status, and dates, is stored locally by the app. Imported documents and receipts are copied into local app storage and can be associated with an adoption or expense.

Backup and restore

AdoptionLedger can create a portable backup containing the records and document data needed to restore them. Restore requires selecting a backup file and confirming replacement of current records.

Network services

AdoptionLedger stores records and imported document copies in the app on your device. The Release version does not sync these records or documents to Rhodwell or a cloud database. The app does not use a developer-operated account, third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking service. If you choose Open IRS reference, the link opens in your device’s default browser, which connects to the IRS website. If you choose a file location or sharing destination, that provider’s terms and privacy practices apply.

Purchases

Lifetime Pro purchases and Restore Purchases use Apple StoreKit. Information Apple processes in connection with purchases is governed by Apple’s own terms and privacy policy.

Data deletion and retention

AdoptionLedger keeps records and imported document copies in app-managed storage on your device. They remain there until you delete them in the app, replace them by restoring a validated backup, or remove the app. Deleting an archived adoption permanently removes its related records and app-managed document copies after deletion succeeds. The app does not keep a server-side copy for Rhodwell to retrieve. iOS device backups may preserve app data according to your device settings and are managed by Apple. Exported backup files are separate copies; they remain in the location you selected until you delete them there.
